Built to one reference and fitted to it. The seams between the petals are nine straight lines out of the eye, and every rounded tip is a hyperbola with its two seams as asymptotes: the points whose distances to the two seams multiply to one constant. That holds along every tip in the reference to half a pixel, so each petal is one number on top of its seams.

The light was solved against the reference's pixels, edge by edge. Each edge has a specular line on its outline, a rim just inside it, a streak further in and a soft glow, each with its own colour and its own way of changing along the edge. Wherever the outline turns to face the eye, a white specular takes over, which is what whitens every tip. The lights add up and go through one exposure curve, so a dim rim keeps its colour and a hot one burns through to white.

Your cursor is a light in front of the glass: rims turned toward it flare white in their own colour. The petals behave like a funnel seen down its throat, so the eye leans toward the cursor and the seams swing as if you had moved, and it opens a little as you come near it. Left alone, it drifts and breathes very slightly. With reduced motion you get the still frame, which is the reference.
